Unity

As we enter a New Year today, being the first Sunday of that New Year, I would like to invite you to go on a journey with me, the staff, and the council as we together fulfill the calling that God has placed on this church to be a place and people of Hope, Help, and Healing. It is a mission that was started over 26 years ago, but a continuing mission where you are a part during this time and place. This year, our theme is Teaching, Training, and Togetherness. This theme is based on the word of God that Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 where the Word states 16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man (or woman) of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We desire that we, as the body of Christ, be fully equipped. Our goal this year is to offer instruction in various venues and multiple platforms to facilitate growth in the life of each believer. We desire for every believer to be complete, lacking nothing. Part of that goal is also to be together in all that we do. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has brought us together as a family, and now our unity one with another and connection to each other and the body as a whole is our pursuit. Psalms 133:1 stated, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Together we can accomplish so much more not only in ourselves but also for the Kingdom of God, which is what it is all about.
