Phil. 1:6 Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. Sometimes the process of completing a task, a recipe, a craft, a renovation looks like it is too messy to turn out the way it is supposed to or is going to be a complete fail. But in the work that God, our Father, does in us, we have the One who has a perfect record of completions. There is not a galaxy half done. There is not a creation that was not completed, a storm not weathered. We can trust in His Word and promises when we can’t our own. He is steadfast, rock-steady, and established. You may be feeling discontent, messy, doubtful, but if we keep our eye on the Promise Maker, we can trust the process. We need to resist looking at the process and the mess, and know Who is behind the scenes. And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. God is not in a hurry as we define it. In fact, if we use our own concepts and wording of time, He’s in a marathon, not a sprint, but the long haul. He’s transforming us. Trust His process even while it looks messy.
