Oh, how I love my granddaughters! They are nine and two and so completely different from each other. One is a total extravert and always on the edge of trouble and the other is very introverted and sometimes hard to get her to open up. I love being around both of them, but because they live in Colorado I don’t get to see them that often. So when my son called the other week and said that grandparents day at the oldest’s school was coming up in November and she asked her parents if I could come out to go to school with her, WELL I JUST ABOUT JUMPED THROUGH THE PHONE SAYING YES!!!!! I am so excited!
I think about them all the time, but to know that they want to spend time with me just melts my heart. Whenever I get to talk to any of my kids for any length of time, it does my heart good. I can imagine that is how our Father feels. He must be so thrilled when we want to spend some time with him. Actually, whenever I am thinking about my kids, it triggers me to think about how my Heavenly Father wants to hear me laugh, talk (even small talk) and just enjoy time together.
James 4:8a “Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.”
Psalm 63:6-8 “When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
He’s always holding out his hand of invitation!
