"My dove is hiding behind the rocks, behind an outcrop on the cliff. Let me see your face, let me hear your voice, For your voice is pleasant, and your face is lovely." - Song of Solomon 2:14 (NLT)
Song of Solomon may be a love poem from King Solomon to a woman, but it offers us prophetic insight into Jesus’ love and pursuit of His bride, His church. Do you really know how much you are loved? The King of Kings bled and died for you. He rose again to eternal life and has passed this inheritance to all who believe. You didn’t just wake up one day a believer. Unbeknownst to you at the time, He wooed you by His Holy Spirit. He found you sinful, weak, beaten, and abused by the world. He drew your spirit to Him and called you forth from your tomb of death just as He physically called Lazarus forth from his physical tomb. Jesus called to you, beloved! Come forth from amongst the rocks and clefts of your life. Stop hiding from Me, show Me your face! Give Me your heart and let Me break up the hard rocks and soil. Come to the garden, to a secret place with Me, away from this world…let me hear your sweet and lovely voice. I love you; I want to bless you. Talk with Me, my beloved, I want to hear all you have to say and I want to speak to you too. Let Me love and cherish you to a full and abundant life. Let Me heal every place you have ever hurt. Let Me take your burdens and sorrow, envelope you with the oil of my gladness. I want to share My hopes and dreams with you. I want to partner with you and demonstrate My love in and through you for others. Come, bring your brokenness to Me. I will mend your heart and be all you ever need, for I care for you; I love you. Come forward, stop hiding, and RECEIVE My perfect love. I can’t wait to embrace you!
How can you resist?
