"Don't be afraid, I am here. Then they willingly received him into the ship and immediately the ship was at the land where they were going."  - JOHN 6:20-21 NLT

Jesus was walking on the water for them to see that He was not impacted by the storm at all, He was walking on top of the turbulent waters.  But it did not say that he rushed over to the boat and jumped in.  The disciples still had to willingly receive Jesus into the boat.  Salvation is just that simple to do.  They saw Jesus and heard him say "Don't be afraid, I am here" and they received him.  It applies to us on a daily basis too when life happens and we find ourselves being tossed about by circumstances, fear of the unknown and not being able to see around corners and where He is pointing. But if we receive Jesus into our situation and ask Him to be with us and to lead us and to give us that heart peace that he speaks about in John 15, He will do it.  We can keep looking at Jesus from our own little boat and keep on struggling with life and being afraid, or we can let him in our boat and specific situation and He will deliver us to where we are headed.
