He Lives; He lives Christ Jesus Lives today he walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives Salvation to impart. You ask me how I know he lives. He lives within my heart.

This is the chorus from a hymn I used to sing as a kid. This is what we celebrate today on this Resurrection Sunday. The fact that Jesus Lives. The greatest event in the history of events has happened Jesus died on the cross for your sins and mine. No longer does God live or reside in a temple or a place of worship but he resides in the hearts of all those who believe on his name. In fact, at his death God tore the veil in the temple that separated the Holy of Holy’s from all of mankind. But he didn’t just die he rose from the dead. Conquering death Hell and the Grave. This is what gives meaning to our celebration today. This is what gives life in Christ. Because of his death, burial and resurrection we too can conquer death, hell and the grave.

“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Today we celebrate resurrection. We celebrate God being with us. We celebrate all that Jesus was, is and is to come. He Lives within my heart. I hope he does in yours as well.
