Perspective is everything and it will make you or break you. If you only have your perspective 100% of the time, you are a slowly sinking ship. The outward evidence of perspective is your expectation of others. If your perspective is built through only your problems, your expectation of life will always be that you have nothing but problems. If your perspective is that you deserve the best because you put your time in, your expectation towards others will come as entitlement. Your perspective, being from a role of seniority at your job, neighborhood, or family, breeds the expectation that you must be treated with the utmost respect, whether or not you are living a life that is worthy of that respect. So don’t be afraid to change your perspective.
Change your perspective to “I have value, and life experiences to offer, if people ask me for my input or help. You will see that people will seek you out and value you and your experiences. "People are happy when they give a good answer. And there is nothing better than the right word at the right time. -Proverbs 15:23
Change your perspective to one that seeks to put others before yourself. You will see how people will want to put you before themselves. "The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." - Matthew 23:11-12.
Change your perspective to nothing I have is because I deserve it, but because I am blessed by God. You will see that you will have peace. “Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. - 1 Timothy 6:6-9
