Christians celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ all year long. As Christians, we know what the crucifixion and resurrection mean for us. The high cost that was paid by Jesus, it was really ours to pay, but  He paid it for us anyway.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

But there is a world out there that celebrates this time of year that does not know the our reason behind the celebration and what God accomplished through His Son on the cross and in the empty tomb. We have a great opportunity just in casual conversation when someone asks what we are doing on Easter to tell them our beliefs about Resurrection Sunday, and about how we are celebrating the biggest event besides the birth of Jesus to ever happen in the world. It’s an occasion to share the name and person of Jesus, and it is an easy door to walk through to tell them a bit of why and who we are celebrating. We get to be “salt and light” in easy conversation and be the bearer of good news.
