Running, running, running through this fast paced life only to wake up one day and find that the end has come. Sound sobering? I am sure we might read this opening line and think, NOT ME, but read further. I have been at the bedside of precious saints of God that are transitioning to go home and heard many of them say, “where did the time go” or “wish I wish I had more time here to serve the Lord” or “I didn’t think that this day would ever come for me” and yet there we were in a moment suspended in time waiting for the time of transition. Can I tell you a truth that many of you know? You only have one shot at this life, one shot to do great things, one shot to be all the Lord has destined and called you to be. Sure, you may not be called to a pulpit or “public” ministry, yer each of you are vital and one of a kind. Consider with me, the end… will you have been found faithful?

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” – Hebrews 12:1-2
