Ephesians 5: 15- 17

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

The wisdom with which the apostle Paul speaks to the church in Ephesus is truly astounding. The admonition is simple, Walk Right! And Walk Well! Walking right is the key to walking well. We as believers must walk in a manner that glorifies God and points other to Christ in and through our daily lives. There is still eternal value in personal holiness and living a biblically based life. Hebrews 12:14 tells us to “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Holiness is a commodity that we must have in this life. Holiness or living clean and right before God, puts us into a position to hear, touch, taste and see the Lord in His power right here in the earth but also qualifies us to do all the same in eternity. In order to effectively redeem the time, or make the strongest kingdom impact, while on this earth we must have a connection to our heavenly Father that allows us the ability to hear His voice, sense His presence and follow His leading. Too often we are crowded with life’s challenges, difficulties and obstacles that blind us and shift our focus off of the Lord and onto people, places and things that are not the Lord. In Luke chapter 21 Jesus is speaking to His disciples and He tells them, 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. 34 But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”  The cares of life, that Jesus refers to, serve as the stressors that lead the one bearing such great loads of care, to a place of disconnect with God. Be careful with your cares!

In this new year of 2016 I believe that the Lord wants us to redeem the time and make wise urgent use of every ministry moment that we have both individually and corporately. This year can be a tremendous year of growth, both numerically as a body and also spiritually, as we come together with one mind and be in one accord with one another so that we will be the place of healing to our community and surrounding areas that God has called us to be. As we embrace our community and surrounding areas may God quicken us to redeem the time! As we enhance those that we reach for the Kingdom of God, here at HWWC, may we urgently redeem the time! And as we empower each believer through the word, fellowship and God’s presence, may we redeem the time! Now is the time! This is a pivotal year for

HWWC, LET US RISE AND BUILD THE KINGDOM and REDEEM THE TIME for we will not pass this way again. In a time where wickedness is celebrated, may the Lord help us to redeem the time and lift high the banner of Jesus Christ to show the world around us, our community and surrounding areas, that God is truly a healer and restorer of lives! Together we will see greater things. Sixteen years and we have watched God grow and build the miracle that all of you are. Join us as we redeem our time and make God’s thoughts about who and what we can be become a reality in this land! I hope you are s excited as I am!!!

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
